("AS-BUILT" PLANS SERVICE)
Our "As-built" plans service, hereinafter referred to as "service," includes
our "work" of measurement and graphic documentation performed on
the existing building and property listed in our Quote-Agreement for
said service. This service will produce existing (AS-BUILT) plan drawings
for private project planning purposes only. These drawings are not intended
for any permit submittal in this form, and will be stamped “REFERENCE—NOT
FOR SUMBITTAL”. The aforementioned documentation is the property of DRAFTECH
(of Novato), copies of which are made available, for reference only, to those
parties listed in the agreement, and/or by special arrangement.
(TIME ESTIMATES)
The time to complete drawings is governed
by the complexity of your project. The usual on-site process of gathering information
can extend several weeks to months. Time savings and a significant fee reduction
is available to those who participate in both the acquisition and transmittal
of their project information, through “ACTIVE PARTNERING.” Determine
if this method suits your technical abilities and project needs.
(WRITTEN QUOTES)
Written
quotes are charged at $75, and are 100% deductible against a retainer paid
towards the signed agreement.
(AGREEMENTS)
With your signature,
the written quote becomes our written agreement, and it’s cost will be on a
set-fee basis, depending on the square footage and project complexity. Additional
fees are charged hourly, if you make further requests after we commence work
listed in the agreement. Balance of payment is due upon delivery of the completed
drawings.
(RETAINER)
A retainer for us to begin work will be calculated
at 25% of the project’s set-fee cost.
(RATES)
Work in addition to
the agreement is done at a $65 per hour rate, whether requested by you, your
consultants (architects, engineers, contractors, etc.), or the Planning /
Building departments in your jurisdiction.
(DISCLAIMER)
All work listed in the Quote-Agreement will be performed on the basis of information
we find visually evident through our on-site inspection and evaluation, or
through public record data we find available. Measurement and material indications
shown on the drawings must be field-verified by any and all consultants who
plan to use this information for future submittal or for construction purposes.
We do not engage in demolition—it is the responsibility
of the homeowner to provide that service.
(CANCELLATION POLICY)
You may cancel
the written quote-agreement at any time. Your refund will be calculated by
the deducting the hours we have worked on your project (at our hourly rate)
from the monies you have paid up to the time of cancellation, and returning
the balance to you. If our work hours amount to more than what has been paid
by the retainer, and/or additional payments, copies of your drawings and CAD
file copies will be available to you [in their state of completion at the time
of cancellation] only when full payment for the additional work has been received.
